This is the perfect side for when you have no idea what to make for dinner. Almost all of the ingredients are pantry staples, and it comes together in a matter of minutes! We typically serve these with some sautéed Bok Choy and a protein, but sometimes a bowl of straight carbs is what our spirit needs.

Sesame Noodles

Ingredients

  • 3 oz of Udon Noodles (You can also use Ramen Noodles if you have them on hand)

  • 3 TBSP of Tahini

  • 2 TBSP of Rice Vinegar

  • 3 TBSP of Soy Sauce

  • 1/2 TBSP of Crushed Garlic

  • 1/2 TBSP of Crushed Ginger

  • 1/2 TBSP of Sambal Oelek

  • 1.5 TBSP of Honey

  • Garnish:

    • Sesame seeds

    • Scallions

Directions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil, and cook Udon or Ramen noodles according to the brand’s directions

  2. Strain the noodles and set aside

  3. Whisk together the tahini, rice vinegar, soy sauce, garlic and ginger pastes, samba and honey until combined

  4. Toss the noodles in the sesame sauce, and chill for at least 30 minutes or until ready to serve

  5. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced scallions
